Who we are

King Exterior LLC provides roofing, siding and gutter services in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Information we collect

Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, property location and whatever you tell us about your project when you submit a form, call, or email.

Information collected automatically. Standard web data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring page. Our own analytics and advertising technologies load only after you consent to them through the cookie banner.

Some parts of this site are embedded from other companies. There are two: the contact form, provided by our customer relationship platform, and the service area map, provided by Google. Separately from those, every page of this site shows our Better Business Bureau accreditation seal in the footer, and that image is loaded from the BBB rather than from us, so the BBB receives your IP address when any page opens. The seal is loaded live rather than copied because that is what keeps it honest: if our accreditation changed, the seal would change with it. They load together with the page they sit on. That is the contact form on our contact page and on our about page, the contact form and the map on our home page, and the map again on our service areas page. Our home page also carries a video hosted by YouTube, and that one is different: it does not load at all until you press play, and until you do, nothing is requested from YouTube or from Google. From the moment one of those pages opens, those companies can run their own analytics and advertising technologies inside what they have embedded, and the map provider also receives your IP address and approximate location. These technologies belong to those companies rather than to us, they run inside their content rather than on our page, and our cookie banner cannot switch them off. If you would rather not load them, the phone number and email address on this page reach us directly.

Consent records. When you check a text message consent box, we record the date and time, the IP address the submission came from, the browser user agent, the exact consent wording shown to you, and the page you submitted from. We keep this because it is the record that you agreed, and it protects you as much as us.

How we use it

To respond to your inquiry, schedule and carry out an inspection or project, provide estimates, answer questions, and follow up afterwards.

To send you service messages about work in progress, and, only if you separately agreed, marketing messages.

To meet legal, insurance and record-keeping obligations.

Text messaging

Text message consent is optional. You are never required to agree to text messages to submit a form, get an inspection, or become a customer.

There are two separate consents and they are independent. One covers transactional and service messages such as inspection confirmations, appointment reminders, project updates, estimate follow-ups and review requests. The other covers marketing and promotional messages such as seasonal offers. Agreeing to one does not agree you to the other.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details on this page.

Our text messaging program is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age.

We do not share or sell your mobile opt-in information or your phone number to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Who we share information with

Service providers who work on our behalf and only for that purpose: our customer relationship platform, which also provides the contact form, our messaging provider, our website host, our analytics provider where you have consented to analytics, and Google, which provides the service area map if you choose to load it, and the Better Business Bureau, which serves the accreditation seal in our footer and therefore receives the IP address of anyone who opens any page.

Insurers and adjusters, where you have asked us to share our inspection findings.

Authorities, when we receive a valid legal request such as a subpoena or court order.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share or sell your mobile opt-in information or your phone number to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Cookies and tracking

Nothing that is not strictly necessary loads until you choose. The cookie banner lets you accept everything, reject everything, or choose by category.

If you reject, our analytics and marketing technologies are not loaded at all. Not loaded and ignored, but never requested.

One exception, stated plainly because it is a real one. Our contact page, our home page, our about page and our service areas page carry content embedded from other companies: the contact form on the first three, and the service area map on the home page and the service areas page. That content loads together with the page rather than on request, so from the moment either page opens those companies can run their own tracking inside it, including analytics and advertising technologies belonging to them and to firms they work with. This happens whatever you choose in the cookie banner. The banner controls what our own pages load; it cannot reach inside content served by somebody else. We load them that way because those are the pages people use to reach us and to check that we cover their area, and putting a button in front of that costs them time. Our chat widget comes from the same company as the contact form and we treat the two differently on purpose: the form is the reason the contact page exists, so it loads with the page, while chat is an extra way to reach us, so it loads only if you accept functional cookies. If you turn chat off you can still use the form, and the phone number is at the top of every page. The video on our home page is the exception and works the other way round: pressing play is what loads it, so if you never press it, YouTube never hears from your browser. Apart from our Better Business Bureau seal, which sits in the footer of every page and is loaded from the BBB, no other page on this site loads anything from another company. The seal is a single image and carries no script, so unlike the embeds above it cannot run anything inside our pages; what the BBB receives is the request for the image itself, which includes your IP address.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page.

How long we keep it

Project and customer records are kept as long as needed for warranty, insurance and legal purposes. Consent records are kept for as long as we may need to evidence that consent. Inquiry records from people who do not become customers are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we are required to keep.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.

You can change your cookie choices at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
