When siding is worth replacing
Siding tends to fail quietly. The signs worth paying attention to are cracked or split panels, panels that have come loose at the lock, warping or buckling on the sun-facing walls, and any soft spot in the wall behind the siding, which usually means water has been getting in for a while.
Painting is also a signal. If a wood-sided house is due for another paint cycle and the last one did not last, the arithmetic on vinyl starts to look different, because it does not need painting at all.
The other reason people replace siding is that they are already replacing the roof. Doing both at once means one setup, one crew, one disruption instead of two.
What is guaranteed
Two separate things, and they are worth keeping apart. MainStreet warranties the panel itself with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. That covers the product, not the installation. Before you sign, we walk you through exactly what that covers and what it does not, in writing.
At the end of every job we walk the work with you and you sign a certificate of completion on site.
