Roofing is our focus service and most of what we do. We install and repair asphalt shingle roofs on residential and commercial buildings across Lancaster County and the surrounding area.

We are in the Owens Corning contractor network, which matters mainly because it means our installations are held to the manufacturer's standard rather than to whatever the crew felt like doing that week.

Roof stripped to bare decking with chalk lines snapped across it, underlayment rolled out on the far slope, a nail gun and air hose in the foreground and workers at the ridge.

What we install

  • Asphalt shingle roofing, full replacement and new construction.
  • Roof repair where a repair is genuinely the right answer.
  • Flashing, valleys, and the transition details that cause most leaks.
  • Ridge venting and intake ventilation as part of a replacement.

What we do not do

  • Metal roofing.
  • Tile roofing.
  • Flat and low-slope roofing.
  • Window and door replacement.

We would rather tell you now than three weeks into a conversation. If your project needs one of those, we are not the right contractor and we will say so on the first call.

Repair or replace

This is the question almost every call comes down to, and the honest answer is that it depends on things you cannot see from a driveway.

A roof with isolated storm damage on one slope and fifteen years of life left is a repair. A roof that has lost granules across the whole south face, has brittle shingles that crack when you lift them, or has been patched three times already is a replacement, and patching it again is spending money to delay the same decision.

What we look at during an inspection: granule loss and where it is concentrated, shingle flexibility, the condition of flashing at chimneys and walls, whether the valleys are open or closed and how they have worn, nail pops, the state of the ridge vent, and any staining or soft decking visible from inside the attic.

You get photographs of all of it. If we recommend a replacement, you can see why.

How a roof replacement runs

1. Free inspection

About an hour. We inspect the roof, document what we find, and go through it with you.

2. Written scope

What is being replaced, what materials, and what is not included. In writing before anything starts.

3. If storm damage is involved

We inspect, photograph everything we find, and give you a written estimate. Your insurance company decides coverage. You hand them our documentation and deal with them directly.

4. Installation

Tear off, deck inspection, underlayment, flashing, shingles, ridge vent. Deck problems get raised with you before they get covered up.

5. Cleanup and walkthrough

Magnet sweep for nails, debris removed, and a walk-around with you before we leave. You sign a certificate of completion on site.

What is guaranteed

Shingle manufacturers warranty the shingle. That covers a manufacturing defect, which is not how most roofs fail. Roofs fail at the installation. Before you sign, we walk you through exactly what your manufacturer warranty covers and what it does not, in writing.

At the end of every job we walk the work with you and you sign a certificate of completion on site.
